The John Bianculli Trio featuring John on Piano, Bassist Sue Williams and Drummer John Vourtsis. Pianist, composer and educator, John Bianculli brings his lyrical, soulful sound and creative arrangements to Shanghai Jazz. You’ll hear a unique blend of Jazz, Latin, Brazilian, R&B and World Music.  John is a regular at Shanghai Jazz’s Tuesday Jazz Trio Series.

Acoustic and electric bassist Sue Williams is a New York City based freelance musician who has performed with Eric Clapton, Steve Cropper, Joe Walsh, Eddie Brigati, Bernard Purdie, Jon Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow, Vanessa Williams, Darlene Love, Ben E. King, Robert Palmer, South Side Jonny and The Asbury Jukes, Phoebe Snow, Milt Hinton Bass Quartet, Cab Calloway’s Swing Orchestra, and many others. Sue’s performances include Broadway shows, blues and rock shows and recording studio work. As a Broadway pit musician, Sue has played in numerous Broadway shows including Mr Saturday Night starring Billy Crystal,  Little Shop of Horrors and Jersey Boys.

Multi-instrumentalist John Vourtsis is a Shanghai Jazz regular playing with Jerry Vezza, Tomoko Ohno, Leonieke, Ed Laub, Grover Kemble, George Naha, Ted Brancato and Bob Himmelberger, among others.

Doors open at 4:30 for Happy Hour. Performance begins at 7:00 with $5 Entertainment Fee and $25 food & drink minimum per person. Reservations strongly recommended
