Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Thaddeus Exposé musical journey is a testament to his dedication and passion for jazz. He honed his craft through a formal education, earning a Master of Music from William Paterson University and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Music Education from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, IL. Thaddeus’s bass mentors include Walter Payton, a master bass teacher in New Orleans, La, Richard Davis, who delved into history and improvisation as a Bass Instructor in the Jazz Program at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI, as well as legendary bassists Ray Brown and Rufus Reid, the latter being the author of “The Evolving Bass” Vol. 1 & 2. His musical pursuits have taken him on a global journey.
