Scott Sharrard & Eldorado Slim
07:00PM to 09:30PM - October 30, 2026
Shanghai Jazz, Madison, NJ

Where the spirit of Bill Graham’s Fillmore East meets the vibe of Detroit’s Club Mozambique, you’ll discover NYC’s Eldorado Slim. Fronted by Little Feat guitarist Scott Sharrard, this 6-piece band features some of the city’s top musicians and takes its name from a rare Little Feat jam from the early 1970s.

Sharrard describes Eldorado Slim’s 1970s-inspired sound as “acid funk and space spirituals.” Drawing from a golden era of American roots music, the band channels the mesmerizing, improvisational funk of artists like Grant Green, Eddie Harris, Lonnie Smith, and The Crusaders. They also pay tribute to Sharrard’s history with Gregg Allman and Little Feat by reimagining select tracks from their legendary catalogs.

With Sharrard’s soulful, blues-infused guitar leading the charge, Eldorado Slim’s sound is driven by Latin percussion, hammond B-3 organ, dynamic drums, and a vibrant horn section. Their music seamlessly blends acid jazz, acid rock, and rhythm & blues, with touches of post-bop improvisation. Amid the chaos of today, Eldorado Slim brings back the groove and analog charm of a bygone era. As Maceo Parker famously said, they play “2% jazz and 98% funky stuff.”
