Renowned bassist and Multi-Grammy nominee Nilson Matta has been instrumental in growing the influence of Brazilian Jazz in the United States. After moving to New York in 1985, he quickly began collaborating with Grammy-winning jazz legends like Joe Henderson, Don Pullen, Kenny Barron, Paul Winter, Sadao Watanabe, Paquito D’Rivera, and Randy Brecker, alongside notable names such as Herbie Mann, Lee Konitz, and Mark Murphy.
