Dave Stryker was raised in Omaha, Nebraska, before making his way to New York City in 1980. Over his career, he played alongside legendary jazz musicians like Stanley Turrentine, Dizzy Gillespie, and Freddie Hubbard. Stryker also had the chance to collaborate with other icons such as James Moody, Jimmy Heath, and Kevin Mahogany, among many others. To date, he has written and recorded more than 150 of his own pieces, and he released The Dave Stryker Songbook, featuring much of his original work.
