Dave Stryker, originally from Omaha, Nebraska, moved to New York City in 1980 and joined Jack McDuff’s group (1984-85). Between 1986 and 1995, he performed and recorded with Stanley Turrentine. His extensive career also includes collaborations with Freddie Hubbard, Dizzy Gillespie, James Moody, Jimmy Smith, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Kevin Mahogany, Eliane Elias, Jimmy Heath, Joe Lovano, Steve Slagle, and numerous others.
